We’re Katie and Richard. We live in Perth with our two kids and life is generally much busier than we intend it to be. Perhaps that’s exactly why we fell in love with Stillwood — a place to slow down, switch off and enjoy a different pace of life.
Together, we run a residential design studio, so beautiful homes, thoughtful spaces and good design are a big part of our world. We love good food, spending time in nature and finding special places that make you want to stay a little longer.
Our Story
Sometimes you find a place that just feels right.
When we first discovered Stillwood, we weren’t looking to create something new — we fell in love with something that had already been beautifully created.
Having spent much of our lives designing, building and creating spaces of our own, there was something refreshing about finding a place that already felt complete. Somewhere we could simply arrive, slow down and enjoy.
The stillness, the forest, the dams, the rolling hills and the feeling of being completely removed from everyday life drew us in. As designers, we also immediately appreciated the thought and care behind every detail.
Stillwood was lovingly created by its previous owners, Kim and Jeff, and we feel incredibly fortunate to be the next custodians of what they built.
For us, Stillwood is an escape from busy lives — somewhere to switch off, breathe a little deeper and remember that sometimes doing absolutely nothing is exactly what you need.
Our hope is that Stillwood gives everyone who stays here that same feeling — a chance to escape the noise, slow down and leave feeling a little lighter than when they arrived.
